about

Recorded with Ciarán Parnell.

lyrics

Let me make peace with my own head,
I'm throwing in the towel, my casualties left for dead.
Gone with the wind are my hopes and dreams, it's not just for now but thats exactly how it seems

I'm sick of criticising all of the people that I see,
It's time to give my head a rest and focus on me.
Gone with the wind are my hopes and dreams,
The worst things live in holes and wallow, you see.

It's too much, too early to think like this.
To swim is to sink - it's just a slower process.

There's hope in this story, it's not all that bleak.
Because I've got the best friends who won't let me sink.

All I've known is to run away,
Further than my feet will let me anyway,
Because my own head won't let me stay, maybe it's for my own safety.

Head to the sky and fire in my head,
I can see it all from here,
It's great to see how far I've come in the last few years.

But there's still hope in this story, it's not all that bleak.
I've got the best of friends that won't let me sink.
